Artist Biography

Daniel Nguyen, professionally known as Yvonder, is a Vietnamese-born, Australian-raised DJ and producer carving out his place in the modern hard-dance landscape. Active in the Sydney scene since 2021, he has performed across many of the city’s top venues—including Waves Saturday, BPM Friday, Masif Friday, Embassy, Home The Venue, Vietpho, and Mr B’s—consistently delivering high-energy sets that ignite the dancefloor. 

Beyond nightclubs, his versatility has taken him onto the P&O Cruise, numerous boat parties, and even the Oktoberfest Festival Sydney, showcasing his ability to adapt and command diverse crowds. 

While he’s a flexible DJ behind the decks, Yvonder’s artist project takes a more defined shape: a world of 150BPM+, fast, punchy kicks, and driving, adrenaline-fuelled sound design. His music brings a distinct edge to the hard-dance and hardstyle archetype—raw, energetic, and unapologetically intense. 

Known for his open-minded approach to music, Yvonder frequently experiments with blending elements from genres such as psy-trance, techno, trap, and global ethnic influences, forging a signature hybrid style. Expect the unexpected—his tracks often twist into new territory while still hitting hard on the dancefloor. 

Despite not growing up with a musical background, his passion began early. As a teenager, discovering Skrillex’s “Bangarang” online opened the door to electronic music. From there, he became the friend who always knew the next unheard, boundary-pushing tune—curating playlists, soundtracking family car rides, and developing a sharp ear long before he ever touched a deck. 

After high school, he followed that instinct and began learning DJing in 2019 under Getlooze, a Vietnamese Red Bull DJ Champion. In 2022, he expanded into music production with the long-term vision of playing his own tracks on a main stage. With no musical upbringing, the learning curve was steep, but his persistence never wavered. 

To deepen his craft, he enrolled in the full-year program at Liveschool Sydney, graduating in September 2025. This marked a milestone in mastering composition, recording, sound design, mixing, and mastering—all the tools needed to bring professional, polished work to life. 

Today, Yvonder stands at the intersection of cultural roots, club experience, and creative experimentation, ready to push his unique sound into the world with conviction and quality.
